The Center not participating in Las Vegas Pride

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada is choosing not to participate in Las Vegas Pride this year.
The non-profit shared the news on social media Thursday.
Joseph Oddo, Vice President of The Center's board of directors says right now they are working on changing it for next year.
"I don't know if there is one specific reason but I'd say that you know we're hoping for change. We are looking to have conversations with SNAPI who runs pride that you know it's time that we get more inclusive as a community," Oddo said.
Below is a statement from President of the Southern Nevada Association of Pride or SNAPI, James Healey:
"We have nothing but love, help and support for our family at The Center. We understand that with the timing of their honorarium and pride that resources and time are tight. We wish them the best and hope that they rejoin our pride events next year."
Oddo says there's nothing but support between the two groups.
"We still want everybody to have a great time at Pride we just want to come back together (to) make sure that we grow it and we are sharing the message together that we are one community and we are on the same page and on the same path," Oddo said.
