These are the projects that remind you why you do what you do. It’s not every day you get to see your creative vision come to life on billboards outside Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. This campaign was a reminder that bold ideas are rarely easy, but always worth it. So grateful to Vimeo for believing in the vision, and to the incredible creative team who helped turn an idea into an unmissable moment. I fought for this one — and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. It's proof that when you hold the line for creativity, big things happen. 🚀 Kudos to this awesome team: Chloe Saintil Meagan Wood Eden Shats Charlie Ungashick Rachita Paes Cooper Savage Aubrey Page Bennett Marano Bia Castro Josh Simpson Alex Calams Alex Ohonovskyi Leif Huron Elise London Joseph Entenman Niamh O'Leary Sarah Vella-Labrador Heidi Jackman Frank Filiatrault Patrick Robinson Alex Calams Megan D. What role does video play in AEO? Ethan Smith shared his thoughts with Vimeo on how to win with video in the LLM space. Key takeaways: ⦿ AEO builds on SEO rather than replacing it. SEO continues to supply the credible pages that LLMs pull from, while AEO shifts the goal from ranking to being cited. ⦿ LLMs create impact faster. Utility-first videos or help docs can show up in AI answers within days. This helps smaller brands that may not have high domain authority. ⦿ Utility-first video is a major citation driver. Short videos that clearly answer a question, even with low view counts, can be surfaced by LLMs across platforms like ChatGPT, Google Search, and others. This works especially well in less-crowded, “non-entertaining” niches where specific questions don’t have many existing answers. For example, “how to generate a compliance report using X tool”. ⦿ Help centers, FAQs, and knowledge hubs become acquisition channels. When each question-based page includes a concise explanation, a matching short video, and clear structure, LLMs can more easily understand and cite the content. This supports citations not only for the initial query but also for related follow-up questions in a thread. ⦿ Earned media and structured data strengthen AEO impact. Repeated, authentic mentions on platforms like Reddit increase the chances of LLMs citing your brand, while schema markup helps AI models interpret your pages and videos more accurately. ⦿ Video plays an important role as AI chat evolves. LLMs currently use metadata around videos to understand them, and they will soon parse transcripts directly. Starting now helps build a video library that can be cited as models become better at reading and summarizing video content. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/e-qse_nz

The inaugural Vimeo Short Film Grant, presented by Nikon and RED Digital Cinema, held a screening event in New York City to celebrate emerging filmmakers and their bold storytelling. 🎥   The five film grant winners were each awarded with $30,000 grants for the production of their films, access and training to Nikon and RED cameras in addition to mentorship with celebrated filmmakers.   At this screening, each winner introduced the inspiration for their works and shared a short preview of their films, with genres ranging from dramas to digital animation.   Over 75 people were in attendance, including film industry professionals based in NYC as well as Vimeo, Nikon and RED employees.

At Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), creative excellence isn't just the goal; it's the standard. From the creative work their students go on to create in their careers to the infrastructure and tools the university relies upon day-to-day. SCAD needed an updated video platform that could foster collaboration and quickly support 17,000 students spread across regions, and the existing 500,000 videos they had on their older system. Vimeo helped SCAD transform its collaboration, helping the entire university easily record, organize, and share its video content seamlessly. SCAD generated over 700 showcases, 52,000 hours of watch time, and more. To learn more about how Vimeo helped SCAD increase creative excellence, click here: https://lnkd.in/eYR8JHa4
