Sen. Rosen joins groundbreaking for Nevada's first in-state small arms training range

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen joined the Nevada Army National Guard to celebrate the groundbreaking of Nevada's first small arms training range, a project she secured.
The new facility will enable Guardsmen to complete weapons qualification training in-state, reducing travel time and taxpayer expenses.
"For far too long, the men and women of the Nevada National Guard have been forced to travel hundreds of miles out of state to complete mandatory training every year — wasting their precious time traveling and at a great expense to taxpayers," Rosen said.
Brig. Gen. Randy Lau, Nevada Army National Guard commander, expressed gratitude for the congressional support, stating, "Without them, this would not be possible."
Rosen has also secured funding for other military projects in Nevada, including a $5.4 million fuel cell hangar and nearly $9 million for construction projects.
Additionally, she helped secure a 5.2% pay raise for servicemembers and expanded support services as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024.
